See the difference
A closer look at what the engine does for our games. Every picture here comes straight out of the engine, scaled up so each pixel stays square.
01 · Grass
Grass you can roll through
off
on
Drag to compare. Same moment, same camera, with the grass switched off and on. From Good Vibe Demo.
The grass isn’t painted on. Each of the tens of thousands of blades is really there in the world, so it:
- Sways with gusts of wind.
- Parts around the ball as it rolls through, and gets flattened where it passes.
- Springs back over a few seconds.
It casts real shadows, gets darker near the ground, and glows when the low sun shines through it.
02 · Desktop and browser
The same picture, wherever you play
The engine can draw its pictures in two ways: one for installed games, and one that also powers play in the browser. We check that both give the same result.
A test scene with a patterned floor, fog and a patch of grass. On our test computer the two pictures match pixel for pixel, as they do in our other test scenes. Other computers aren’t tested yet.
03 · Try it yourself
Nothing to install
Pictures only go so far. The demo runs right in your browser: roll the ball, push through the grass and collect the orbs before time runs out.
